There is so much to learn!&#160; Karen and I&#160; want to journal our experiences of creating our website and officially starting our jewelry business.&#160; Ironically,&#160; I never intended to sell my jewelry.&#160; Actually,&#160; I was never formally taught how to make it.&#160; About four years ago, I sat at my kitchen table and created my first piece.&#160; I proudly wore it the next day to work, and my colleagues loved it, too.&#160; I must admit, however, I was not so good at first regarding the putting together of my pieces.&#160; A couple of my early beloved pieces ended up in pieces, and I often found myself in the middle of the street picking up beads.&#160; Needless to say, I then decided that it was important to figure out how to put a piece together without potential hazard.&#160; Jewelry making then became an obsession.&#160; I was often sitting at the same kitchen table in the weeeeeeeeeeeeee hours of the morning...and, yes, I got up to a job.&#160; Speaking of,&#160; that is where the other Karen comes into the picture.&#160;&#160; Karen and I worked together.&#160;&#160; Often times, our lunches became jewelry workshops.&#160; We began to share beads and ideas.&#160; I also want to tell you that some of our other colleagues got involved.&#160; It became an obsession.&#160; After retired from the school district,&#160; I am sure that if one collected all the dropped beads from under my desk....I promise that we really did work, and we worked hard.&#160; However, my jewelry making during lunch got me through some tedious days.&#160; I truly believe if we were all allowed to create during a stressful day, we would all be better workers.</p> <p>Making jewelry is still an obsession.&#160; And it is still fun.&#160; Amazingly, Karen and I have formed a partnership, and we are developing a website to sell our pieces.</p> Wow!
